Playing with courage
This workshop with Noël van Kruysdijk is all about daring to play. Many people hold themselves back when acting because they’re afraid of making mistakes, coming across as odd, or doing something “wrong.” As a result, they often end up playing smaller than they actually are capable of.
During the workshop, we’ll use various playful exercises and improvisations to help participants gradually let go of their inhibitions. The goal is for them to feel safe trying new things and to realize that making mistakes is actually part of the process of acting.
Letting go of that fear often leads to much more freedom, creativity, and enjoyment in acting. The workshop therefore focuses primarily on courage, confidence, and not holding yourself back while performing.
