Natemah Storytelling is an open-mic storytelling event founded in Eindhoven by Venkatesh, Mwanton and Praise. The evening brings together storytellers, comedians, musicians, poets and curious newcomers around one central idea: sharing stories and listening to each other.
Each edition is divided into two halves with a short break and features around 7–8 performers. They share personal stories, comedy, music, poetry or other forms of live storytelling. Experienced performers perform alongside people who are stepping onto a stage for the first time and want to try out their story. The evening also includes an open mic, where anyone can spontaneously take the stage to share a story, song or poem. People who would like to perform but are unsure whether their story is ready can receive free feedback and preparation from the Natemah team beforehand.
Natemah grew out of the founders’ experience with Lighttown Speakers, a Toastmasters public-speaking community in Eindhoven. Through sharing stories in a supportive environment, they experienced how storytelling can build confidence, creativity and connection.
The event is held in English and welcomes people from different cultural backgrounds. Natemah aims to create a respectful and welcoming space where people can experiment, express themselves and connect through live storytelling.
