DARK is Eindhoven’s Halloween festival. One night a year, the station area transforms into a mysterious world where theater, music, dance, art, and performance come together to create a unique experience for young and old alike. As you follow a special route, you’ll discover surprising locations, meet extraordinary characters, and never know what to expect around the next corner.
What makes DARK special is that the festival is created by the people of Eindhoven. Hundreds of participants—from amateur artists and students to experienced creators and volunteers—work together for months to bring this unique evening to life. As a result, DARK is not just a festival to attend, but also a major cultural participation project that puts the city’s creativity front and center.
The route takes visitors past various locations in the station area. Along the way, you’ll be transported into a world full of surprises, atmosphere, excitement, and imagination. Whether you love Halloween, theater, art, or are simply curious about a special evening in Eindhoven: DARK offers an experience you won’t soon forget!
After completing the route, you’re welcome to join us at CKE for the official DARK Afterparty, featuring live music, performances, and plenty of time to chat about everything you’ve experienced.
Want to participate in DARK?
Would you like to be part of DARK? Every year, we’re looking for enthusiastic participants who want to act, perform, dance, build sets, do makeup, or contribute to the festival in some other way. No experience is necessary. During workshops and rehearsals, you’ll work under the guidance of professional artists as you prepare for the festival on October 31. Practical Information
- Admission is free, but be sure to reserve a time slot early to avoid disappointment.
- Tickets will become available a few weeks before Halloween. Follow us on social media to be the first to know when that happens.
- The route runs through the Eindhoven station area, starting at Microstad and ending at CKE.
- Afterward, celebrate the spookiest night of the year at the official DARK Afterparty!

DARK rehearsal series for actors
Work together with other participants to prepare for the DARK Halloween Festival in Eindhoven. During this series of rehearsals, you’ll develop characters, scenes, and performances that will be part of the festival.
