 Building beats with BØS

In this workshop you discover how to turn a simple loop into a strong beat. You listen to professional instrumentals and hear why some beats sound so powerful. After that you work with drums, melodies and 808s. Step by step you build a track that feels complete, with a clear structure and space to experiment.
The workshop is for young people who already make beats or are curious about how it works. You work in a small group, receive practical tips and learn how producers make choices in rhythm, sound and arrangement. At the end everyone shares a track and gives feedback that helps you grow. You go home with new insights and more control over your own sound.

In samenwerking met Jasper Gubbels

Jasper works under the name BØS and feels at home in many styles such as hiphop, EDM, rock and disco. Jasper also creates music for film and theatre and is a coach at Nieuwe Helden, an organisation that supports young talent. Here Jasper guides young makers in music production and in developing their skills as an artist. By working together we combine knowledge, experience and a place to explore and create.
