Visual arts talent programme (ages 12-18)

Do you dream of a career as an artist? The Talent Programme is an important step in the right direction.

Each week, you will dive into the world of visual arts together with other young people. From drawing, graphic design, and ceramics to 3D art, you will discover, experiment, and learn at a rapid pace while developing your own style.

You will work on inspiring themes, receive lessons from passionate professional teachers, and build a strong portfolio that you can use for applications to art schools. This 36-week programme is packed with in-depth learning, coaching, and creative exploration. During the Talent Stream Days, you’ll also gain insights beyond your own discipline. In short, this is the place where your artistic journey truly begins.

What is the Talent Stream?

  • 36 weeks of subject-specific lessons every Tuesday evening.
  • 2 hours per week of in-depth visual arts training.
  • Learn from experienced professional arts teachers.
  • 6 Saturdays with masterclasses, workshops, and inspiring excursions.
  • A major end-of-year presentation where you showcase your work or perform.

Entry requirements

  • Language: Dutch.
  • You have talent, motivation, and a strong desire to grow.
  • You have at least one year (preferably more) of experience in a visual arts course.
  • You are already taking one or two courses that support your development, either at CKE or elsewhere.

Please note: the costs of these additional courses are not included in the Talent Programme.

Apply before 1 August. After your application, we will schedule an intake and guide you through the following steps:

  1. Home assignment
    You will receive a home assignment from us. You have until 14 August to submit it. Show us who you are as a creator!
  2. Introduction & workshop
    If there’s a match, we’ll invite you to a creative workshop on 19 August from 17:30 to 19:45 at CKE. You’ll meet your mentor and other young talents.
  3. Personal message
    After the workshop, you will hear whether you can start in the Talent Stream. You will receive a personal message.
  4. Final enrolment
    Accepted? Congratulations! Your mentor will send you confirmation, and you will officially become part of the Talent Stream.
  5. Start of the Talent Stream
    On 26 August, your artistic journey truly begins.
