Introduction to theater for children (ages 4-6)
A varied beginner’s course full of fun.
This theater class is designed specifically for young children ages 4 to 6. Through play, they discover how much fun theater can be. We work with themes that many children enjoy: space travel, fairy tales, and jungle animals. This helps them learn to step into someone else’s shoes: a scary pirate, a curious fairy-tale character, or a dangerous animal!
They practice expressing emotions (how do you show that you’re angry, happy, or sad?), learn to listen, observe, and work together. They also learn how to move their bodies in different ways. Our arts teacher guides the children in a cheerful and playful manner and engages with their imaginative world.
After each session, there is an open class for parents and caregivers. During De Ontdekking, there is a short performance to which parents/caregivers, family, and friends are warmly invited.
