Beginner course drawing & painting: Portraits and Models for adults
In this course, you will work on figure and portrait painting. You will deepen your understanding of proportions, composition, and spatial relationships – all based on keen observation and attention to detail. You will practice with a variety of materials such as charcoal, pastel, ink, acrylic, and water-based oil paint. Each material has its own requirements and produces different results.
You will learn how to use these materials to convey character and expression in your work. You will work with a model twice during the course. Additionally, you will be introduced to well-known artists and art movements that will inspire you to find your own style. The experienced teacher provides intensive guidance and helps you develop both technique and creativity. You will work towards strong, personal portraits that showcase your growth as an artist. At the end of the course, everyone can admire your work during Bruis Weekend.
Good to know:
- Wear an apron and old clothes.
- This course includes 2 sessions with a model, so the price differs from courses without a model.
- Language: Dutch and English.
