Landscape and animal painting for beginners
In this course, you will depict landscapes and animals. You’ll discover how to create atmospheric and lively images using a variety of materials. You’ll work with charcoal, pastel, watercolour, ink, acrylic, and oil paints on both paper and canvas. You’ll learn how to use these techniques to convey perspective, space, light, shadow, reflections, and texture. The teacher will guide you step by step to gain control over the materials and encourage you to experiment. You’ll work both from observation and from your own imagination. Inspiration comes from examples and from each other. The atmosphere is relaxed, with personal guidance. The best part: by the end of the course, you will not only have learned a lot but also created a series of paintings you can be proud of, which you will showcase during a Bruis weekend.
Good to know:
- Wear old clothes or an apron.
