In this workshop, you’ll learn the basics of DJing, with a focus on different skill levels. At the start, JasperAYC will assess the group’s level. You’ll then get straight to work on specific areas. You’ll practise beatmatching, EQ, mixing, phrasing, gain control and the use of hot cues. Everyone works at their own pace and level. You’ll learn to listen, make choices and gain confidence behind the decks. No experience is necessary. You’ll go home with new skills and a good feeling about DJing.
In collaboration with JasperAYC
The workshop will be led by DJ JasperAYC, the stage name of Jasper van der Burg. He has been invited by Mike de Wit and Teun Hoevenaars, programme coordinators at CKE JONG. Jasper shares his experience as a DJ and creator in an accessible way. Together, we will create an inspiring space where young people can learn, create and grow through music and culture.
