Playing with Theater
During these theater sports evenings, you’ll dive into fast-paced improvisation. On the first evening, you’ll practice various theater sports games. You’ll work on teamwork, timing, and having the courage to perform. On the second evening, you’ll play the same challenges, but this time in front of an audience. Two teams will compete against each other. There’s a host and a jury that isn’t always fair. The audience actively participates and lets you know what they think. With flowers or with sponges.
The activity is for young people aged 12 to 18 with some experience in theater or improvisation. You’ll play, watch, react, and experience two energetic evenings together at Café C.
In collaboration with Boaz van Rooij
This program is a co-creation with our own teacher Boaz van Rooij. Boaz works as a theater teacher and creator and is always looking for the best form for a story. His work varies from performances to installations and audio formats. Within CKE, Boaz translates inspiration from the environment into surprising working methods. He developed the concept for this workshop and supervises the evenings.
