Learn the basics of Konpa dance
Would you like to join in at the Konpa Social Party, but have never danced Konpa before? Don’t worry! Harry Davelaar and Anouk Smulders are running a free Konpa workshop for beginners. In just one hour, you’ll learn the basic steps, dance posture, control, leading techniques and three movement combinations. You’ll soon be hitting the dance floor with confidence!
Harry and Anouk met earlier this year and quickly discovered their shared passion for Konpa dance and music. Their mission? To bring Konpa to Eindhoven and introduce as many people as possible to this energetic and unifying dance style. Harry brings his extensive knowledge of Latin dance styles, whilst Anouk uses her experience to guide everyone into the world of Konpa in a fun and clear way.
After the workshop, you can try out your new moves straight away at Pour Danser’s Konpa Social Party, with live music from Stanley Clementina and his band C-Shaw. An evening full of rhythm, fun and Caribbean vibes!
