At Pour Danser’s Konpa social party, everything comes together: the sultry sounds of Haitian Konpa, the dance moves you’ve just learnt during the beginners’ workshop, and the warm atmosphere of a Caribbean celebration. With a drink in hand, you can enjoy the energetic sets by Stanley Clementina. Let yourself be carried away by the rhythms and experience an evening full of connection, movement and musicality.

What is Konpa?
Konpa is, after salsa and reggae, the musical style that connects the Caribbean. Konpa is a genre with deep roots in Haiti and, over the years, it has spread to other islands in the Caribbean, to Africa and then to other countries.
With influences and affinities with styles such as merengue and zouk, Konpa is more than just music; it is a cultural bridge that brings people together on the dance floor and beyond.
Konpa has a distinctive and irresistible groove. The warm, rhythmic basslines, the melodic guitars and the danceable flow make it a genre that continues to grow in popularity.
This music gets both young and old moving, sitting still is almost impossible!
Music by Stanley Clementina
Stanley Clementina is a singer, bassist, pianist, producer and bandleader. With his group Steezmusic, he is the regular backing band for artists such as Jayh Jawson, and he has collaborated with well-known names including Yade Lauren, Frenna en Nelson Freitas.

For the first time, TROMP Percussion is organising the TROMP Next Gen Mallet Competition: a new competition for young marimba and vibraphone players aged between 15 and 30.
DARK rehearsal series for actors
Work together with other participants to prepare for the DARK Halloween Festival in Eindhoven. During this series of rehearsals, you’ll develop characters, scenes, and performances that will be part of the festival.
Workshop storytelling
During this free storytelling workshop, you’ll learn how to draw people into your personal story. Discover techniques such as sensory storytelling and adding emotion and dynamics to spark your audience’s imagination. This workshop consists of two parts: you’ll present your story during the storytelling evening on October 9.
TROMP Next Gen Mallet Competition: Final
The TROMP Next Gen Mallet Competition is a new competition for young marimba and vibraphone players aged between 15 and 30. On this evening, six finalists will compete for first prize on stage at CKE.
