The TROMP International Percussion Competition is open to professional percussionists aged between 18 and 35. Over the course of four rounds, they are given the opportunity to demonstrate what makes them special as musicians. It is not just technique that counts, but also their own artistic vision, originality and stage presence.
In Round 1, TROMP sets aside the usual rules for a while. No set pieces, no two performances that sound the same. Ten of the world’s best young percussionists come to Eindhoven to show: this is who I am.
They’re coming to Eindhoven from all over the world. Each musician puts together a programme that’s entirely their own, ranging from electronic to classical and contemporary. Round 1 is their first introduction to the audience: ten 35-minute recitals, in which each percussionist shows, in their own way, who they are and what they stand for.
Three venues at CKE will each have their own unique atmosphere. You can decide for yourself where to go and at what pace to experience the afternoon. Let your curiosity guide you and discover ten musicians who all play, listen and think differently.
This is the most open and personal round of the entire competition. Ten different worlds, one afternoon. You decide where to start and where to go next.

Draadkracht XL
Draadkracht XL is a day filled with textiles, technology, and tradition. Discover centuries-old crafts, learn new techniques, and meet creators who approach textiles from different cultures and perspectives. Take a workshop, listen to inspiring stories, or join the collaborative quilt project. A day for curious creators of all skill levels.
Natemah Open Mic
Natemah Storytelling is an open-mic evening bringing together stories, comedy, music and poetry. Experienced performers and first-time storytellers share their work with an international audience. The open mic gives everyone the opportunity to step onto the stage, experiment, and share something meaningful in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Kick-off: DARK Halloween festival Eindhoven
Would you like to join DARK? During the kick-off, participants will get to know the project, the creators, and each other. It’s the perfect start to a spooky and creative adventure.
Monthly sketch café
Artists of all levels gather monthly, alternating between Thursdays and Saturdays, at Café C to sketch, learn, and meet each other.
