What is a Poetry Slam?
The one and only poetry slam of the South, the E-slam (Eindhoven Slam). Get ready for an evening full of striking poetry, spoken word, and duelling poets. In a Poetry Slam, poets compete against each other to collect as many votes from the audience as possible.
Sign up for the Poetry E-slam battle and let your words speak. Everyone can join! The preliminary rounds are on 12 and 26 February, with the final on 19 March. The winner will be able to take part in the Dutch National Poetry Slam at TivoliVredenburg on 20 September 2026.
For participants, there is a free Poetry Slam Battle workshop on 5 February, where you will learn to improvise and collaborate. Come and watch or take part!
Join In
Sign up via this form (in Dutch), and E-slam will let you know whether you can take part in the preliminary round on 12 or 26 February. In an elimination contest, only one winner remains. That winner will advance to the final on 19 March. The winner will also be able to take part in the Dutch National Poetry Slam at TivoliVredenburg on 20 September 2026.
