Improvisation with the Audience
At this performance evening, young people aged 12 to 18 will showcase what they’ve practiced during the theater sports workshop. In teams, they’ll compete against each other in short improvisation games. Each scene is created on the spot, with input from the audience. There is a host and a jury that judges the performance. Their judgment isn’t always fair or logical. The audience lets them know what they think, using flowers or sponges. That makes the evening exciting and unpredictable. Expect fast-paced scenes, lots of humor, and plenty of interaction. The event is open to the public and is fun for anyone who wants to experience theater sports and see young people in action.
Collaboration with Boaz van Rooij
This program is a co-creation with our own teacher Boaz van Rooij. Boaz works as a theater teacher and creator and is always looking for the best form for a story. His work varies from performances to installations and audio formats. Within CKE, Boaz translates inspiration from the environment into surprising working methods. He developed the concept for this workshop and supervises the evenings.
