Running a cultural organization with volunteers is quite a challenge. A survey in Brabant has shown that there is a need for more volunteers, members, audiences, and funding. Associations are looking for new ways to secure their future. Many organizations need clearer policies and a long-term perspective. But how do you take the first steps to make your organization future-ready?
During the KunstenKennis evening, amateur arts associations and cultural organizations that work with volunteers can learn about ‘Toekomstkijk’. This is a discussion method developed by KunstLoc Brabant that helps you increase your organization’s future-readiness.
We’d love to take you through the Toekomstkijk-conversations, with volunteers as the central topic.
We support amateur artists
As a creative amateur artist, you don’t have to do everything on your own. We’re here to help. Whether it’s organizing an exhibition or a performance during De Ontdekking, securing grants, or providing advice to organizations and individual artists.

Screen-printing exhibition: technique, experimentation and a distinctive visual language
13 screen printers are presenting a diverse selection of their work on the ground floor and 1st floor of CKE.
Horror and Halloween Theatre
In this short workshop, you’ll create a character for a horror story. How do you step into the shoes of the most deranged serial killer? You’ll have the audience on the edge of their seats. You’ll learn to create a character who makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end and whom you’d rather not come across in real life.
Scrap Lab
Are you a keen scrapbooker, or do you prefer junk journals? Come along to the Scrap Lab at CKE! It’s for anyone who, like our tutor Hella, loves collecting pictures, beautiful magazines and packaging materials, and is looking for inspiration.
