Why CKE?
“Put me in a museum, cinema, or theatre, and I’m happy. Let me create and perform, and I am too. At the moment, I’m making very little, which is a shame. Because in the candy shop that is CKE, the possibilities are endless. Perhaps that’s the problem—the choice is too vast.”
Do you engage with art and culture in your free time?
“I want to work with ceramics, dance (both classical and modern, s’il vous plaît), paint, screen-print, and make lino prints. There’s so much to choose from, and precisely because of that, I end up making nothing.”
When do you go home feeling good after a workday?
“After a day’s work, I go home with a good feeling if I feel that my work has been meaningful. Often, that’s when I’ve created something: a solid proposal or plan, a satisfying piece of writing that forced me to carve a new path in my mind, or a pleasing image. Perhaps, in the end, I create more than I think I do.”
