Rianne Brouwers – Director of CKE

Rianne has been working at the Eindhoven cultural institute on an interim basis since April this year. She is now committing to CKE for the longer term.

Hans Fuchs, on behalf of the Supervisory Board: “After Karin Visser’s departure in April this year, Rianne made a flying start as interim director. The fact that she is staying on at CKE is great news for the entire organisation. She’s a natural fit, meets every aspect of the profile we set for a new director-executive, and brings both policy continuity and stability to the organisation. We are confident that under her leadership – and with her vision on arts and culture – CKE can take an important next step.”

Connecting, engaging and involving

Rianne is enthusiastic about her new role: “This spring, we put together our policy plan for 2025–2028 at full speed. That was a great way to get to know CKE and Eindhoven’s cultural landscape. I’m really looking forward to bringing that plan to life with all my colleagues – and doing even more than that! CKE has found a place in my heart and I feel completely at home here. With its focus on developing creativity and artistic skills, CKE is a powerful driver of personal development and human connection. I believe that should be accessible to everyone in Eindhoven, and I will do my very best to reach and involve as many people as possible.”

An experienced cultural leader

Before this appointment, Rianne was director of Filmtheater ’t Hoogt in Utrecht and CKC & partners in Zoetermeer. She then took on various roles for public and cultural organisations. She is currently Chair of the Board of Common Frames, which runs film and media projects with young newcomers.
