Music Exploration
This course for people with intellectual disabilities is all about experiencing music. Singing, dancing, and playing rhythm instruments together are part of every lesson. We start with a new song and revisit music from previous sessions. We also move to music and practice a simple dance.
The atmosphere is relaxed and familiar. There’s plenty of room for fun, repetition, and recognition. Around the time of Sinterklaas and Christmas, we focus on well-known festive songs. In the second half of the year, we work towards a performance of our own. This takes place in a calm setting in the concert hall during the final lesson.
Our specialist teacher knows exactly how to help participants grow in confidence, sense of rhythm, and expression in a supportive way.
