Art Route All for Love
On 30 September, the neighbourhoods of Kronehoef, Rapenland and Mensfort in Eindhoven paid tribute to love, creativity and community spirit with the art route All for Love. This unique event brought to life seven local love stories through beautiful artworks and interactive activities. As the sun shone down, the streets and squares of the area filled with inspiration and love.

Festival Hearts: Vibrant Centres of Creativity
Community centres De Werf (Mensfort) and Het Hof (Kronehoef) were transformed into lively festival hearts, buzzing with live music, visual artworks, face painting, crafting of “power sticks”, information stalls, pop-up markets, and delicious snacks and drinks. Along the route from one festival heart to the other, there was plenty to see and do – including various art installations, a VR game called Femina Forte, theatre performances, and an I love graffiti workshop.
An Ode to Neighbour Grandpa Jan – With Elephants
One eye-catching piece on the route was the elephant herd created by AlmarOntwerpt. This work of art, symbolising the strength of the community, was also a tribute to neighbourhood grandpa Jan, who has spent a lifetime collecting elephant figurines and tirelessly supporting the Kronehoef area.
Princess the Cat Podcast: A Story of Connection
A particularly special artwork, both presented live and available to listen to online, was the podcast Princess the Cat. Audio artist Julia van der Pas interviewed local resident Ingrid, who shared her story about her neighbour Jahangir, a refugee from Iran, and his cat Princess. Princess brought Ingrid and Jahangir together, forging a special bond between them. Told from Princess the cat’s perspective, the podcast is a heartfelt tribute to the connections between neighbours and their pets.
Tears of Emotion
In the middle of a grassy field stood a small bench where visitors could sit and be serenaded by Tessa Berckelmans and Anouk Scheepens. They performed beautiful songs inspired by the stories from the All for Love documentary. The emotional power of the music moved some visitors to tears. “Let it come, let it flow,” one of the singers encouraged – and so the emotions flowed freely.
Eindjesloos: A Symbol of Endless Love
Eindjesloos is an artwork consisting of an endless garland made from scraps of fabric, knotted together on site by visitors from various Eindhoven neighbourhoods. This collective creation has already appeared in Kruisstraat and Philipsdorp. Just like love itself, Eindjesloos has no end. Over the coming year, it will pop up in locations throughout the city – brightening streets and reminding us all of love’s enduring power and the diversity of our community.
