Do you love listening to music all day long? And would you like to play that music yourself as well? Learn to play those awesome rock riffs on guitar, hit funky grooves on the drums, or sing jazzy tunes in a band? At the CKE Pop School, you can learn it all.
Discover your sound – solo or in a band
Whether you’re just starting out or have been playing for years, CKE’s Pop School is the place for you. A team of passionate, specialised teachers is ready to teach you everything about your instrument. Prefer playing with others? Then try band coaching: from the first chord to an electrifying performance on stage. Together, you’ll work on songs, performance, and ensemble playing – and, of course, the joy of making music.
Instrumental lessons
An electric guitar plays differently from an acoustic guitar. A keyboard has far more buttons than a regular piano. And drumming requires more coordination than playing a simple drum. That’s why CKE offers specific pop lessons, taught by teachers who have years of experience in the Dutch music scene. You can start at any level, from complete beginner to preparation for conservatoire, the Rockacademie, or the Rock City Institute.
You can take lessons on the following instruments:
- Bass guitar
- Drums
- Electric guitar
- Keyboard, keys, electronic organ
- Saxophone
- Vocals: pop & jazz or rock

CKE bands
Do you want to play in one of CKE’s many bands and perform for an audience after just six months? Here’s your chance! CKE offers bands in various styles: pop, rock, jazz, indie, singer-songwriter, and more. Each band rehearses weekly, under the guidance of a teacher, at PopEi or the CKE Music School on Pastoor Petersstraat.
Band placement is based on age, level, and instrumentation. Both beginners and advanced musicians are welcome. You bring your own instrument; amplifiers and a drum kit are provided.
