If you prefer individual music lessons, that’s also possible through our partner teachers, who give lessons in the CKE building.
The importance of music lessons for children
Did you know that making music is essential for a child’s development? Music lessons for children have a very positive effect on language and motor skills. Is your son or daughter a little restless? Music lessons can also help them relax. In short, music lessons are an important part of a child’s upbringing!
At CKE, we offer a wide variety of music lessons and workshops for children of all ages. With a free taster lesson, your child can explore different forms of music without any obligation. We also offer short music workshops for children.
Music Lessons
Throughout the year, you can take music lessons at our music school in Eindhoven. These lessons are given in groups, as ensemble playing is an important part of many music courses. You’ll learn not only from your teacher but also from your fellow students! If you prefer individual lessons, you can explore the offerings from our partners, who also teach in the CKE building.
Music Workshops
In the second half of the course season, we also offer short music workshops for children. These are introductory courses consisting of ten lessons. During these workshops, children can explore an instrument or another form of music at their own pace.
Ensemble or Choir
Ensemble playing or choir singing includes orchestras or choirs led by a conductor or teacher. These groups also have a maximum of 38 lessons per course year. Ensemble and choir work are an important part of our music programme. No matter how skilled you are at your instrument or in singing, you only become a complete musician or singer when you can play and sing together. It’s both educational and a lot of fun! On our website, you can find all choirs and orchestras in the course listings. Enrollment in a choir or orchestra includes a four-week trial period to ensure your level matches the group. Final placement is determined in consultation with the conductor or teacher based on this trial period. Course fees are listed in the group course descriptions online.
Pop Department
Did you know that CKE also has a dedicated Pop School? You can learn everything about pop, rock, and jazz music, or receive band coaching. If you play in one of the many CKE bands, you’ll have the opportunity to perform a few times a year at Café C at CKE or Café Wilhelmina. Want to join a band? Sign up for Band Coaching, and in consultation with one of our band coaches, you’ll be placed in a band that suits your goals and preferences.
