What are the benefits of learning to draw for children?
Learning to draw is of great value for children. Alongside spoken language, visual language is an important skill to develop. Drawing helps children structure their thoughts and feelings and translate their own imagination onto paper. In addition, drawing supports the development of fine motor skills and hand–eye coordination. In short, learning to draw is an essential part of a child’s development.
At CKE, children can take part in enjoyable drawing courses and workshops. During these weekly drawing classes, children explore the different aspects of drawing. Your child will learn a range of basic techniques and work with various materials. There is also plenty of room to have fun together, work independently and, above all, discover and experiment freely.
Weekly drawing courses
Throughout the entire school year, children can come to CKE for weekly drawing courses or painting classes. Working alongside peers, children create their own drawings while being guided by a highly engaged teacher. These drawing classes focus on creativity, enjoyment and developing their own style.
Drawing workshops for children
In spring, our short visual arts workshops start, including various drawing workshops for children. During these short courses, children can gradually get to know drawing classes at CKE, step by step and at their own pace. It is a low-threshold way to discover whether a group drawing class is right for your son or daughter.
