July 13 and 14: Space Journey
During these Youth Theater Days, you’ll create a two-day performance about the universe, space, and undiscovered planets! What planets will the participants encounter as they search for the lost astronaut? What kind of aliens will they meet? And how will the young people save the universe?
On the first day, you’ll be introduced to fun theater games and, under the guidance of a theater instructor, create the short performance. On the second day, you’ll practice with sets, costumes, lighting, and sound. At the end of the second day, you’ll perform the brand-new show for friends and family.
August 19 and 20: The Worst Show Ever
Oh no, watch out! This is going to go completely wrong. During these Youth Theater Days, you’ll create a show in two days that will be the worst show ever! This show mixes genres, from dramatic soap operas and action chases to a horror play and a romantic comedy. You’ll hardly know which way is up or down. And then everything goes wrong during the performance too! How will the actors pull this off?
