July 13 and 14: Space Journey
The theme for these two days and the performance is the universe, outer space, and undiscovered planets. Children travel to invisible planets, candy planets, insect planets, and party planets to search for the lost astronaut. Meanwhile, the youths move through dark parts of the universe and encounter aliens. They create the most bizarre characters, who get into a massive fight. How will the youths save the universe?
On the first day, you’ll be introduced to fun theater games and, under the guidance of a theater instructor, create the short performance. On the second day, you’ll practice with sets, costumes, lighting, and sound. At the end of the second day, you’ll perform the brand-new show for friends and family.
August 19 and 20: The Worst Show Ever
Oh no, watch out! This is going to go completely wrong. During these Youth Theater Days, you’ll create a show in two days that will be the worst show ever! This show mixes genres, from dramatic soap operas and action chases to a horror play and a romantic comedy. You’ll hardly know which way is up or down. And then everything goes wrong during the performance too! How will the actors pull this off?
