Vocal choir for adults

Do you love to sing and would you like to sing with others? In this singing group, you’ll work on healthy vocal technique, harmonizing, and stage presence. The course is suitable for both beginners and advanced singers.

You’ll learn how to use your voice in a healthy and relaxed way, how to sing in tune and in rhythm with others, and how to combine different vocal parts into a beautiful polyphonic sound. We’ll also focus on interpretation and stage presence: how to deliver a song convincingly and how to feel more confident on stage.

Classes begin with a group warm-up, after which we’ll dive into a varied repertoire of well-known pop, musical theater, and other contemporary songs. Step by step, we’ll build up the music: from singing in unison to polyphonic arrangements, with a focus on harmony, musicality, and performance. Throughout the course, you’ll work together with the group toward a performance at De Ontdekking, where you can show off what you’ve learned. This way, you’ll experience the power and joy of singing together on stage.
