Theatre talent programme (ages 12–18)

Are you a young performer with courage, talent, and a love for the stage? The Talent Programme is an important step in the right direction.

In this special year-long programme, you will have weekly lessons with professional theatre teachers. You will work on your acting, voice, and expression, as well as develop your own vision as a creator. You will explore new forms, learn to reflect, and grow at a rapid pace.

The Talent Programme lasts 36 weeks and is structured in blocks, each with a focused theme. Each block concludes with coaching and a Talent Programme Day, where inspiration, exchange, and creativity take centre stage.

What is the Talent Programme?

  • 36 weeks of subject-specific lessons every Tuesday evening.
  • 2 hours per week of in-depth lessons.
  • Learn from experienced professional teachers.
  • 6 Saturdays with masterclasses, workshops, and inspiring excursions.
  • A major end-of-year presentation where you showcase your work or perform.

Entry requirements

  • Language: Dutch.
  • You have talent, motivation, and a strong desire to grow.
  • You have at least one year (preferably more) of experience in a course within this discipline.
  • You are already taking one or two courses that support your development, either at CKE or elsewhere.

Please note: the costs of these additional courses are not included in the Talent Programme.

Apply before 1 August. After your application, we will schedule an intake and guide you through the following steps:

  1. Home assignment
    You will receive a home assignment from us. You have until 14 August to submit it. Show us who you are as a creator!
  2. Introduction & workshop
    If there’s a match, we’ll invite you to a creative workshop on 19 August from 17:30 to 19:45 at CKE. You’ll meet your mentor and other young talents.
  3. Personal message
    After the workshop, you will hear whether you can start in the Talent Stream. You will receive a personal message.
  4. Final enrolment
    Accepted? Congratulations! Your mentor will send you confirmation, and you will officially become part of the Talent Stream.
  5. Start of the Talent Stream
    On 26 August, your artistic journey truly begins.
