Next steps in photography: practical application

This course begins with a short refresher session where you’ll brush up on your camera settings in a fun and engaging way, whilst getting a sneak preview of the assignments. In the following lessons, you’ll delve into various photographic styles, such as evening and night photography, street and urban photography, still life with continuous lighting, abstract photography, and creating photo series. For street photography, we’ll take an inspiring day trip to Maastricht together. You’ll gradually move away from semi-automatic mode and learn to work in manual mode, with a focus on composition and creative choices. You’ll also learn to make smart use of functions such as burst and bracketing. At home, you’ll work on inspiring assignments which you’ll share via Padlet and discuss together. You’ll finish with a mini-portfolio and a strong foundation for further growth as a photographer.
