Next steps in drawing and painting
An in-depth exploration of drawing and painting using a variety of materials, with a focus on perspective, light, space and personal visual language.
This course is ideal if you already have some experience with drawing or painting and wish to develop your skills further. You will work with a variety of materials, such as charcoal, pastels, watercolours, ink, acrylics and oil paints on paper. Through a variety of assignments, you will learn to render perspective, spatiality, light, shadow, reflection and texture convincingly.
Topics such as portraiture, animals, landscapes and still lifes are regularly covered. The tutor provides inspiring visual material and examples from the art world, which allow scope for your own interpretation.
You will experiment with style, composition and visual language, and receive personal guidance and feedback. The atmosphere is positive and stimulating, with plenty of scope for creative enjoyment and growth. At the end, you will present your work during De Ontdekking.
