Drawing and painting lab

Are you a free thinker looking to develop your technical skills further? Or are you someone who has already mastered drawing and painting and is now seeking a more free-form and intuitive approach? Either way, you’ve come to the right place. In this workshop course for intermediate to advanced students, you’ll work independently whilst drawing plenty of inspiration from your tutor and the other students in your group. You indicate how you wish to progress and thus further develop your own visual language. The tutor is present every other week to provide feedback, reflection and coaching, and offers support where necessary with technical advice and substantive reflection. In the first lesson, we’ll get to know each other and discuss your learning objectives. From there, you’ll embark on your own individual working process. You’ll challenge yourself, experiment and deepen your style. There are two presentation days halfway through the season. You will select a number of pieces from your work and present them to the other students in your group. At the end of the season, you will showcase your work in an exhibition during De Ontdekking. This course is ideal for advanced students who wish to work independently with expert guidance. In this workshop, you will further challenge yourself and your work.

Good to know:

• There is an intake session prior to the start of the course
• Please bring your own drawing and painting materials
• Please bring an apron or wear old clothes that can get dirty
