Learning to see, feel and listen

In this engaging lesson, pupils explore the Van Abbemuseum and its fascinating collection. Using a range of teaching methods and disciplines, we encourage children to observe, feel and listen closely. Our multidisciplinary team immerses pupils in the world of contemporary and modern art.

The museum’s collection invites pupils to experience art in new ways. They activate their senses, explore big ideas through themed activities, and enjoy making creative discoveries together.

In the museum

A professional museum educator guides the pupils in learning to “look out loud.” Short activities and creative tasks encourage critical and imaginative thinking, while helping pupils develop receptive and reflective skills. Do you have a specific school project or theme in mind? Customisation is often possible – just let us know!
