Sketching together in Café C
During Sketch Café, you work on your own project in good company. You decide whether to follow a prompt or try out a new technique. Everyone draws at their own level. We help one another, share tips and enjoy a pleasant atmosphere. You can draw whatever you like or try a challenge. Feel free to bring along interesting objects to sketch. Sketch Café is the ideal place to meet fellow drawing enthusiasts, discover what suits you and be creative together.
What to bring:
- Drawing materials such as pen, pencil, coloured pencil or your favourite medium
- Something to draw on, such as paper, a tablet or a sketchbook
- Your enthusiasm!
Do you enjoy drawing? Then come and join us every month in Café C. We alternate between the 3rd Saturday morning and the 3rd Thursday evening.
Collaboration with Urban Sketchers
In our programme there is always something to experience
Screen-printing exhibition: technique, experimentation and a distinctive visual language
13 screen printers are presenting a diverse selection of their work on the ground floor and 1st floor of CKE.
Anchored, Drifted – kite-making workshop
A wind-inspired workshop that uses KITE as both a powerful symbol and a playful medium for storytelling for people who have moved to the Netherlands from afar and are navigating life here to explore the layered experience of diaspora.
Horror and Halloween Theatre
In this short workshop, you’ll create a character for a horror story. How do you step into the shoes of the most deranged serial killer? You’ll have the audience on the edge of their seats. You’ll learn to create a character who makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand on end and whom you’d rather not come across in real life.
Scrap Lab
Are you a keen scrapbooker, or do you prefer junk journals? Come along to the Scrap Lab at CKE! It’s for anyone who, like our tutor Hella, loves collecting pictures, beautiful magazines and packaging materials, and is looking for inspiration.
