The finest poets from the southern poetry scene will take to the stage and fight for your vote. The winner will earn a spot at the Dutch National Poetry Slam in TivoliVredenburg on 20 September 2026. What is a poetry slam?
At a Poetry Slam, poets compete against each other to collect as many votes from the audience as possible. The battle is a prominent part of a poetry slam: loved by the audience, feared by many participants.
Take part
Sign up via this form [it is in Dutch], and E-slam will let you know whether you can join the preliminary round on 12 or 26 February. In a knockout race, only one winner remains. That winner goes through to the final on 19 March. The winner will also take part in the Dutch National Poetry Slam Championship at TivoliVredenburg on 20 September 2026.
