What do you do at CKE and why here in particular?
“I am the rental coordinator at CKE. The decision to work for a social organization was a conscious one. I believe meaningful work is important and that art and culture connect people in our fast-growing, diverse city.”
When do you go home feeling good about your day?
“When I’m up to date with the work that needs to be done. It’s also important that I have pleasant conversations with colleagues or customers during the day. Those moments give me energy.”
What is your connection to art and culture, and do you also engage in it in your free time?
“I enjoy going to theater performances and visiting festivals, and sometimes a museum or exhibition. One of my children is studying to become a theater teacher in Tilburg, which makes me even more involved. I used to play the guitar, and during the pandemic, I took a creative writing course at CKE. At the moment, I don’t practice any art form myself. In my spare time, I do a lot of sports: CrossFit, rowing, and yoga, and I also teach yoga classes. In addition, I am politically active and am on the GroenLinks list for this year’s municipal elections.”
