Why CKE?
Because of the diversity. As a ballet teacher, I can teach my own students, but I can also work in primary or secondary schools as an all-round dance teacher. In addition, I strongly identify with the motto ‘creativity for everyone,’ which I personally find very important.
What is your connection with art and culture?
As a dancer, I love being on stage, but sometimes I enjoy being in the audience even more. I love visiting museums, exploring contemporary exhibitions, listening to live music, and experiencing theatre performances. I enjoy contemporary art as well as art history, and I like reading about it to better understand the world of then and now.
Why did you decide to become a teacher?
Dance is my passion, and I’ve always been drawn to teaching. The combination came naturally: teaching something I truly believe in allows me to make an impact on others.
What do you find important in your lessons?
Fun—always. But also understanding why you do what you do, and creating a safe space where everyone can be themselves and enjoy the process together.
When do you go home feeling good?
When I get back double the energy I give, and when I’ve not only taught something but also learned something from my students.
