What do you do at CKE and why here in particular?

“As a visual arts teacher, I give photography courses for adults, art lessons with a focus on textiles, and ‘Getting Started with Visual Arts’. I also teach in schools and contribute to projects. CKE provides a great platform to develop new courses, exchange ideas with colleagues, and is an inspiring workplace.”

What is your connection to art and culture?

“Through my art education, I have been closely connected to art and culture. I enjoy working on my own projects, conducting research, and continuously learning in photography, drawing, and textile art. I also create personal work and hope to exhibit it in 2026.”

Why did you decide to become a teacher, and what do you consider important to pass on?

“Teaching felt like a wonderful backup as an artist even during my studies. After rediscovering photography in 2007, I started giving guest lessons, which eventually led to my work at CKE. In my lessons, I think it’s important to convey enthusiasm and let students experience that doing and experimenting are essential for their development.”

When do you go home feeling good after a lesson?

“When there’s laughter, the lesson gives energy, and students surprise me with their photos or artwork. That’s the greatest compliment I can receive.”
