That’s why we work—often with local partners in Eindhoven—on creative community participation projects that bring people together, encourage connection, and build long-term relationships. Halloween: A Theatrical Haunted Walk Through the City Center
An annual highlight and a perfect example of how creativity connects people of all ages. Developed in collaboration with the City of Eindhoven, it brings together countless volunteers and CKE professionals. We take care of everything—from funding and planning to routes, community contact, and exciting creative workshops in the run-up.

Neighborhood Fund Projects – Small-Scale and Creative
Together with the Woonbedrijf Neighborhood Fund, we help make neighborhoods cleaner, greener, livelier, and more connected. Some inspiring examples are the creation of the Vivaldituin (a green garden in Genderdal), a children’s art club in Philipsdorp, a vibrant mural in Vlokhoven and a community building project with students from Lombokpad.

KruisstraatOriginal
CKE is located at the start of the Kruisstraat—right in the heart of Oud-Woensel, a neighborhood full of character. KruisstraatOriginal helps the area and its residents grow a sense of pride and connection. With events like Onder de Bomen (a free community coffee terrace), WonderWindows (an annual winter lights installation) and KruisstraatOriginal Festival in summer we create engagement through art, culture, and creativity.

Freedom Stories – Connecting Past and Present
Keeping the memory of Eindhoven’s liberation alive while giving deeper meaning to the concept of freedom. In partnership with the Veterans Foundation of South-East Brabant, we collect stories from war veterans and refugees, and turn them into art: songs, artwork, magazines, or theatre. Young people are invited to engage with these stories actively and creatively.

Circus Farfalle Brings People Together
Want to research your neighborhood in a fun and open way? A low-threshold creative event is the perfect way to bring people together. At the Vlinderflats in Tongelre, Circus Farfalle set up a tent—with performers, animals, musicians, ice cream, and a real show. Meanwhile, local residents were invited to share their thoughts on living in the area—yielding valuable insights for our partners.

Denkbeelden – A Project on Mental Health and Creativity
This collaboration between CKE and GGzE (mental health organization) makes the "inner world" visible. Workshops led by artists and writers supported participants in expressing themselves through art. The result? An inspiring exhibition and a powerful event exploring the role of creativity in mental well-being.
