It’s a grand celebration for all of Eindhoven – for internationals and locals alike. For teens with nerves of steel and seasoned scare-fans. In short: the Halloween Theatre Spectacle is for everyone, of all ages and backgrounds.
Halloween Theatre Spectacle 2025
We’re counting down to Halloween 2025. This 4th edition of the theatrical haunted trail is even bigger than in previous years – so expect frightfully good things. The theme is once again mouth-watering, and the route is full of variety.
A place to call home
This year, we’re taking you to the circus. But don’t expect a cheerful family outing – this is a circus you might never leave…
The story centres on a once-great circus family that has been roaming the world for years. Their audience is dwindling, and the performers are growing desperate to find a permanent home: Eindhoven.
A city that’s growing. A city that welcomes everyone. A place where people from all backgrounds and cultures live side by side. Surely, there must be space for a tired old circus family too?
Of course – who doesn’t love a good circus show?
But this circus is different. Strange. Unsettling. Frightening.
The clowns look more like zombies… And then there’s the rumour: once you enter the tent, you may never come out again. Dare you enter?
For all Eindhoven residents
In 2022, 2023 and 2024 we brought this thrilling Eindhoven event to life. And the excitement keeps growing: more amateur arts groups, more unique spooky performers (who genuinely love this event for its setup and atmosphere), more volunteers (solid gold!), more participants, and more frightful fun.
100% cultural participation
CKE facilitates this project, in partnership with the Municipality of Eindhoven. This is what 100% cultural participation looks like. We engage residents in many different ways in the creation of the haunted trail. We connect with local neighbourhoods and organise creative workshops in the lead-up. Through a variety of workshops, we also give creative makers the opportunity to contribute – and every ‘scarer’ can take part in a way that suits them.
Route through the city centre
On the night itself, our culture ambassadors – backed by a large team – will ensure everything runs frighteningly smoothly. We’re also applying for funding, preparing the script, planning and route. In short: we’re pulling out all the stops to create a spectacular experience for thousands of visitors.
A new story every year
Every year, a brand-new story forms the red thread running through the route. This keeps the experience fresh and unified – with a clear beginning and a spectacular ending.

2024: The Legend of the Mad Scientist
With over 1,000 tickets sold, this was the most successful edition of the Halloween Theatre Spectacle yet.
2023: The Legend of the Mutilated Bus Driver
Scare highlight? Visitors actually boarded the creepy bus.
2022: The Legend of the Horror Wedding
Complete with a terrifying bride who gave everyone the fright of their lives.
CKE 🫶 Halloween
We are not only the driving force behind the large Halloween Theatre Spectacle. Since 2019, we have been involved in this celebration across various Eindhoven neighbourhoods and communities. We continue to do so, supporting 3 to 5 neighbourhoods each year in organising their own spooky street parties. In the past, we have also created legends to accompany these events. In 2021, there was the Legend of Professor Dr. Lichtinhausen’s Robot March, which was adapted into neighbourhood parades due to COVID. In 2020, we told the Legend of the Woman of Eindhoven, but unfortunately, that event was cancelled because of the pandemic. And in 2019, there was the Legend of the Old Railway Guard.
After the Event
Shortly after Halloween, a dedicated group of people comes together to reflect on the event. What went well, and what could be improved? Then, just a few months into the new year, the excitement starts all over again… CKE and Halloween: we just can’t get enough!
